What we process

This site has no accounts or contact forms, and it sets no cookies.

Server logs: our hosting provider, Gandi, records technical data such as IP address, browser type and time of visit to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept by Gandi according to its own retention policy, for only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to identify visitors.
Analytics: we use Koko Analytics, a plugin that runs on our own server and shares nothing with third parties. It sets no cookies. To count unique visits, it briefly combines your IP address and browser type into an anonymous one-way code that is deleted every day and cannot be used to recognise you on later days. We keep only aggregate figures such as page views and referring sites.
Email: if you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and delete the correspondence after.
Newsletter: if you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address only to send you project updates. We keep it until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time through the link in every newsletter.
External links: this site links to our pages on LinkedIn, YouTube and X. We share no data with these services; if you follow a link, their own privacy policies apply.

The legal basis for the newsletter is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). For everything else it is our legitimate interest in running a secure website, understanding how it is used, and answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Sharing

Data is handled only by us, by Gandi, which hosts the site on our behalf on servers in Luxembourg, and by the service provider we use to send the newsletter. We do not sell it, and it is not transferred outside the EU/EEA.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict its use, and to receive the data you gave us in a portable format, by writing to [email]. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

You have the right to object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interest.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular the one in the EU country where you live or work.

Changes

We may update this statement and will change the date above when we do.
